I am writing in response to the article titled “Loudoun parent advocacy group calls for superintendent resignation after sexual assaults reported” published in the Loudoun Times-Mirror.
From what I read, I want to express my gratitude that the Loudoun Times are covering such a prominent issue surfacing Ashburn. I heard bits and pieces about the sexual assault case that happened in Broad Run on October 6th, but after reading the article, it was well organized and helpful for me to understand the whole story and that this isn’t the first case that something like this has happened in Ashburn.
It disgusted me that a sexual assault case occurred last May, and School Board in Stone Bridge tried to hide it. It honestly scares me what people do to each other in this day and age. I had a family member who went to Stone Bridge, and if this happened to them, I would want the assaulter to be held accountable and face the consequences for what he did and not have the school board protect kids like this.
I know this is a larger issue, but if the guidelines and disciplinary actions are set, Loudoun County can change for the better.
