I’m writing in response to your article titled “With the Lovettsville Co-op, locals to get a grocery store of their own”, published in the Loudoun Times-Mirror on March 24th. I am so impressed by the people of Lovettsville and their drive to create a store that utilizes local produce and businesses while considering safety precautions for covid-19.

I feel this will definitely tie the community closer together because building connections with those around you and understanding where your food is coming from is irreplaceable. This is something really needed in Loudoun because since everything is so fast moving and up-and-coming, a lot of its citizens have lost touch with what’s actually happening around them and I feel this would be a very grounding thing they would appreciate.

I appreciate you writing this article because it can inspire people to create more of these types of businesses and show that it’s not an impossible feat. I hope you continue to write articles that empower community members and show how powerful we can be if we work together.
