Tuscarora High School senior Michael Brennan is the Virginia State Golf Association 2019 Men’s Golfer of the Year and Junior Boys’ Golfer of the Year. Brennan is the first player in VSGA history to earn both awards in the same year.

Brennan (River Creek Club) won the 2019 VSGA Amateur Championship, becoming the youngest winner of the event since Brinson Paolini in 2008. He is also the first player in history to win three straight Middle Atlantic Golf Association Amateur Championships.

Brennan has signed to attend and continue his golf career at Wake Forest University, where he earned the program's prestigious Arnold Palmer Scholarship.
