Two spots in the Virginia High School League state football semifinals are at stake Friday when Stone Bridge hosts Woodgrove and Broad Run hosts Tuscarora in regional championship games.

Top seed Stone Bridge (10-1) will play host to No. 2 seed Woodgrove (7-4) in the Region 5C final at 1 p.m. Friday. The winner advances to the Class 5 state semifinals.

Also at 1 p.m. Friday, No. 1 seed Broad Run (12-0) will host No. 3 seed Tuscarora (11-1) in the Region 4C championship game. The winner moves on to the Class 4 state semifinals.

State semifinal games are scheduled for Dec. 7, with state championship games in all six Virginia High School League classifications set for Dec. 14.

Class 5 state semifinals games will pair Region 5C champ vs. Region 5D champ and Region 5A champ vs. Region 5B champ; and Class 4 semifinals will pair Region 4C champ vs. Region 4D champ and Region 4A champ vs. Region 4B champ.

The higher rated team (based on VHSL power points) will host semifinal games.

Friday, Nov. 29

5C: No. 2 Woodgrove (7-4) at No. 1 Stone Bridge (10-1), 1 p.m.

4C: No. 3 Tuscarora (11-1) at No. 1 Broad Run (12-0), 1 p.m.

4B: No. 7 Dinwiddie (7-5) at No. 4 Patrick Henry-Ashland (9-3), 4 p.m.

4A: No. 2 Churchland (10-2) at No. 1 Lake Taylor (10-2), 7 p.m.

4D: No. 2 E.C. Glass (11-1) at No. 1 Salem (11-1), 7 p.m.

5A: No. 2 Maury (12-0) vs. No. 1 Salem-VA Beach (12-0), 7 p.m.

Saturday, Nov. 30

5D: No. 2 North Stafford (8-4) at No. 1 Mountain View (10-2), 12 p.m.

5B: No. 4 Varina (10-2) at No. 2 Manchester (11-1), 1 p.m.
