Hartford Athletic overcame an early deficit to earn a 2-1 home victory against Loudoun United FC on Saturday night in Connecticut. Josh Fawole scored in the fourth minute for Loudoun's lone goal.
Hartford answered with the tying goal by Arthur Rogers in the 17th minute and the go-ahead goal by Gabriel Torres in the 76th minute. Hartford completed the season series against Loudoun with three wins and a tie.
With three games in hand, Hartford (6-2-1, 19 points) remains six points behind Pittsburgh (8-3-1, 25 points) -- a 3-0 winner over New York on Saturday -- for the top spot in the five-team Group F standings.
Loudoun (1-7-2, 5 points) is one point ahead of Philadelphia (1-5-1) for fourth place in Group F. Philadelphia, who has three games in hand, plays at Tampa Bay on Sunday. New York (3-7. 9 points) is third in Group F.
After playing eight of its first 10 games of the 2020 season on the road, Loudoun will play four of its last six regular-season games at home. The Red-and-White will host Philadelphia on Sept. 12 at Segra Field in Leesburg, starting at 6:30 p.m.
