A pair of second-half goals led Memphis 901 FC to a 2-1 victory over host Loudoun United FC in a USL Championship match Friday night at Segra Field in Leesburg.

Kyle Murphy scored his eighth goal of the season in the fifth minute of play to give Loudoun United a 1-0 lead.

The Loudoun Stampede presented its first "Stampede Stud" trophy, a horseshoe, at the conclusion of Friday's match. The first Man of the Match award was presented to LUFC goalkeeper Earl Edwards Jr.

Memphis pulled even on an own goal in the 63rd minute and Brandon Allen scored the winning goal in the 81st minute.

Loudoun United slipped to 6-14-6 in their inaugural season.

LUFC plays at Bethlehem Steel FC on Sept. 18 before hosting the Swope Park Rangers on Sept. 25. Ticket details at loudoununitedfc.com.
