Bobby Eavenson will guide the football program at Lightridge High School.

Bobby Eavenson has been hired to lead the football program at Lightridge High School, set to open this fall in Aldie. Eavenson spent the last two seasons on the coaching staff at John Champe High School.

Eavenson has coached high school football in Northern Virginia for the last 16 years and gleaned experience of building a new program during his three years as defensive coordinator at Riverside High School.

Lightridge will be Eavenson's first head coaching position.

Eavenson has worked in Aldie as a health and physical education teacher the last five years: first at Mercer Middle School and currently at Willard Intermediate School.

With a bachelor's degree in health and physical education, Eavenson is working towards his master's degree in education through Kansas State University, which will be completed in May.

Loudoun County Public Schools will grow to 17 high schools when Lightridge opens for the 2020-2021 school year. Jason Treon is the athletic director at Lightridge.
