The Loudoun Valley Vikings shot a four-player total of 305 on the par-72 layout at Loudoun Golf and Country Club in Purcellville on Monday to win the team championship at the Region 4C golf tournament.
Junior Owen Cook paced the Vikings with his even par round of 72. Seniors Mikey Morga (75), John O’Brien (79) and Colin LaFollette (79) also factored in Valley's scoring.
As regional champions, the Vikings earned a spot in the Virginia Class 4 state golf tournament.
Broad Run (310) placed second to also qualify for states as a team. Matthew Yun (75), Hannah Jonely (77), Brad Freyberger (77) and Mason Sergi (81) scored for the runner-up Spartans.
Dulles District team champion Heritage (312) placed third, followed by Kettle Run (313), James Wood (333) and Fauquier (350).
Tuscarora senior Michael Brennan posted a 7-under par 65 to claim low medalist honors. Brennan, along with Loudoun County's Matthew Monastero (71) and Michael Faringer (72) of Heritage qualified as individuals for the state tournament.
The Virginia Class 4 state golf tournament is scheduled for Oct. 14 at Williamsburg National Golf Course.
