Junior Clay Ash rushed for three touchdowns to help lead the Independence Tigers to a 33-21 victory over the host Potomac Falls Panthers on Sept. 30 in Sterling. The Tigers improved to 2-0 in the Class 5 Potomac District and 6-0 overall.

Briar Woods, Independence, John Champe, Loudoun County, Loudoun Valley, Rock Ridge and Stone Bridge each claimed victories Friday night during Week 6 of the 2022 varsity football season.

Independence defeated host Potomac Falls 33-21 in a Class 5 Potomac District game to improve to 6-0 this season. Loudoun County earned a 20-14 victory over host Tuscarora in Class 4 Dulles District action to move to 5-0.
