BW 2019 lax champs

The Briar Woods Falcons celebrate after winning a lacrosse championship during the 2019 season.

Varsity lacrosse teams from Briar Woods, Dominion, Freedom, Loudoun Valley, Potomac Falls, Riverside, Stone Bridge and Woodgrove high schools have combined to win 18 Virginia High School League state championships.

Briar Woods (boys) and Woodgrove (girls) lead the way with three state titles each. Freedom (girls), Potomac Falls (girls) and Riverside (boys) have each won two championships.

Dominion (boys, girls), Stone Bridge (boys, girls), Loudoun Valley (boys) and Riverside (girls) have also struck state gold.

If my math is correct, from 2015-2019 there was a potential for 20 titles (2 divisions each for boys and girls). Loudoun won 17 of those titles, pretty impressive!
