Loudoun tennis instructor Julius Mashonganyika was recently awarded a Level 2 Certificate of Achievement by the United States Professional Tennis Association for earning 20 credits in the USPTA's Career Development Program in 2019.
"As an association, we know that career development is vital to our tennis-teaching coaches and professionals," USPTA CEO John Embree said in a prepared statement. "To see our members taking advantage of those educational opportunities and striving to earn more than the six-credit requirement personifies a commitment to personal and professional excellence."
Mashonganyika is a USTPA Elite Professional Coach and a United States Tennis Association High Performance Coach at Loudoun County School Tennis Initiative in Leesburg.
He also volunteers in the community by conducting free clinics for beginner, intermediate and advanced beginner players as a way of increasing the number of boys and girls participating in the sport.
