Briar Woods, Heritage, John Champe, Loudoun County, Loudoun Valley, Stone Bridge, Tuscarora and Woodgrove have qualified to compete in the 2022 Virginia High School League football playoffs.
Dulles District champion Loudoun County (10-0) and Potomac District champion Stone Bridge (9-1) both secured No. 1 seeds in their respective regions.
Loudoun County is joined by Tuscarora (9-1), Loudoun Valley (6-4) and Heritage (4-6) as the Dulles District representatives in the Class 4, Region C playoffs.
Woodgrove (7-3) and Briar Woods (7-3) join Stone Bridge in representing the Potomac Disrict in the Class 5, Region D playoffs.
John Champe, one of two Loudoun teams in the Cedar Run District, qualified for the postseason as the No. 4 seed in Class 6, Region B.
Loudoun County, Stone Bridge, Tuscarora and John Champe will each host regional quarterfinals games, scheduled for Nov. 10-12. Woodgrove, Briar Woods, Loudoun Valley and Heritage will open the postseason on the road.
The 2022 postseason will include three rounds of regional playoffs and two rounds of state playoffs. State championship games in all six VHSL classifications are set for Dec. 10.
