Woodgrove High School senior quarterback Bailey Burton climbed to second in career passing yards for the Wolverine football program during a Region 5C semifinal game April 9.

Burton accomplished the feat in his final varsity game, a 26-8 playoff loss to host Briar Woods. Burton pushed his career total to 2,050 passing yards to surpass former Wolverine standouts Billy Sheehan (2,032 yards) and Graham Walker (2,027 yards).

Mike Kovich -- a Class of 2017 graduate -- remains Woodgrove's all-time passing leader with 3,577 yards.
